MARO GmbH – Maro D’Italia Online Shop

Version: 8 October 2026

This page explains your statutory warranty rights when you buy from MARO GmbH through maro-bidet.com, and how to report a defect. It summarises sections 7 and 8 of our General Terms and Conditions.

1. Your statutory warranty

As a consumer, you are entitled to the statutory warranty rights for your purchase (legal guarantee of conformity). You exercise these rights against us, MARO GmbH, as the seller.

The statutory warranty covers any lack of conformity that exists when the goods are delivered and becomes apparent within at least two years of delivery. Mandatory consumer rights under the law of the country where you live remain unaffected and may give you more.

If the product is not in conformity, you can ask us to repair or replace it free of charge. You can choose between repair and replacement, unless the remedy you choose is impossible or would be disproportionate compared with the other. If neither is possible, or we do not provide it within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, you may be entitled to a price reduction or to terminate the contract.

Free of charge means that we bear the costs of postage, carriage, labour and materials needed to bring the product into conformity.

For purchases made on or after 1 October 2026: if a lack of conformity is remedied by repair, the statutory warranty period is extended once by one year.

2. Commercial guarantees

There is no general additional guarantee covering all products. A commercial guarantee applies only where it is expressly stated for the particular product, together with the guarantee statement and guarantee conditions of the guarantor.

Where a commercial guarantee applies, its scope, conditions, duration and exclusions are governed by that guarantee statement. Claims under it are made by the procedure it describes, against the guarantor or service entity named there. A commercial guarantee is additional to your statutory warranty rights against MARO GmbH and never restricts them.

3. How to report a defect

Please contact us before sending anything back:

Email: info@maro-bidet.com

Please include your order number, the product and model, a short description of the problem and when it first appeared, and photos or a short video where possible. Many problems can be solved quickly by email, for example with the installation and settings described in the user manual.

If the product has to come back to us, we will send you return instructions. Unless we instruct you otherwise, returns go to:

Maro Warehouse

Skapinova ulica 23

1000 Ljubljana

Slovenia

Please do not send products to our registered office in Ferlach.

For health and occupational-safety reasons, products sent to us for warranty, service or repair must be hygienically cleaned. If a product arrives in an unhygienic condition, we may pause processing, after informing you, until it has been cleaned. Reasonable cleaning costs may be charged only where the contamination is attributable to you and you have been told the costs in advance.

Our acceptance of a returned product does not mean that we acknowledge a warranty claim. We inspect the product and inform you of the result within a reasonable period.

If the inspection shows that the problem is not covered by the statutory warranty or an applicable commercial guarantee, we will tell you the expected inspection, repair and return-shipping costs before carrying out any chargeable work. Chargeable work is only carried out with your consent.

4. Water quality and limescale

Shower toilets are technically sensitive products. An elevated concentration of dissolved solids in the water may require the use of an external water-softening system or a suitable limescale-protection filter.

Damage resulting from limescale deposits caused by unsuitable water quality, insufficient water treatment or improper use will generally not constitute a defect that existed when the goods were delivered, and may therefore fall outside statutory warranty or liability claims against us. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.

5. Warranty and right of withdrawal are different

The statutory right of withdrawal lets consumers cancel an eligible purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. It is separate from the warranty. Details, the model withdrawal form and our online withdrawal function are in our Return Policy.

6. Business customers

If you buy as a business, our General Terms and Conditions for Business Customers apply instead. In particular, the limitation period for warranty claims is one year from receipt of the goods, and goods must be inspected on delivery and defects reported in writing within 14 days, or within 14 days of discovery for defects that were not apparent on inspection.
